Vox Wah mods

Post by Skoora » Fri Jul 01, 2005 11:53 am

Does anyone know a cheap source for the Carling DPDT 316PP switch for true bypass on the 847 wah. I found a site (http://www.ckssystems.com/) that sells a mod for true bypass and a volume boost. Has anyone done something similar or bought this mod from this site?

I've done all the Fulltone mods to my 847 to make it a clyde McCoy. That also includes the Carling footswitch for true-bypass.

Way more sweep range and sounds a lot more Hendrixy. If you are looking for early 70's Page wah sounds, don't look here. The stock 847 already does that awesome. I guess you could say that the mods are good for people looking for more cool blues tones, quack, and funk.
