+1 on the Triboost. As far as PCBs or kits go, I would go so far as to say that BYOC is the highest quality stuff out there. I source my own parts, but I still use their PCBs because they're just really well made and laid out.
That said, while the triboost is awesome and versatile for figuring out what you want, if you know what booster you like, nothing beats just building that, having a trimpot inside to set your level and having a it all in a nice, small, knobless box. Most boosters are so damn simple you can build something awesome on a tiny piece of veroboard (or terminal strips if you're so inclined), and it'll fit into a really small pedal.
BYOC TriBooster advice please?

I re-biased (believe it or not) the MOSFET in my tri-boost pedal last night. Now, the clean boost is my new favorite!
I think I was a little too hasty when I had it all together, and didn't bias it to it's best setting. It's very transparent sounding. Nice warm tones from my 1959 clone.
I still like the germanium boost as well. It has a more in your face tone. It adds more flavor (mids and maybe a little clipping).

MarT, I was thinking about getting the delay (and chorus) from BYOC. I planned on using it as a reverb though, can you comment on how it applies in that situation? It will be run through the effects loops on a 5150II amp, and at sometime in the future in front of a 68 Metro replica, since there is no effects loop in those amps.
thanks,
dave
