Definitely GL's. The main thing is their cheaper then most quality cables and they last forever. Unless you accidentally cut them in the middle
I used them under very very heavy schedule for a few years. Any problems just remove the old tip, cut .5" off the end and put a new $4 tip on. I dont want to sound like a tot hater but I used all monster for years before that and I detest monster. Shittiest cables Ive used. I only have one left at this point and I was only ever able to get a few replaced. Thats were my animosity stems from. GC and SA dont allow you to swap any more. What the fuck am I paying $60 for a 25' cable for then? That is monsters whole deal. Expensive but should it fail a retailer is contractually obligated, by being a monster dealer, to replace it no questions asked. The first couple I took back I had a bunch of shit from GC about- did you buy this here at this location do you have a reciept. 'No I dont asshole'. They looked up my purchase history and saw I bought a monster there, Im sure they didnt know it was that one but they must have put an asteric next to it or something because no more swaps from GC. SA never gave me one. I dont know if thats monsters policy anymore but if it isnt they should be cheaper now. If it is then they better do something about that bullshit. Im sure they dont care about that travesty since GC and SA probably sell alot and what difference dows it make if a few people are disgruntled. That is nowhere near the worst Ive been ripped off before but that really pisses me off. It was a heavy work schedule though.
I cant see a cable thread without badmouthing Monster..

George L's for me too. I like the thicker .225 type better. You can keep cutting them as it starts to go bad and you don't have to wait for the soldering iron to heat up. When it comes to cables, I'm very impatient.
.............
I've tried other hi-end cables that cost $100+ and they do sound better than the GL's, but I can't see paying that much money. I'll probably step on it and end up breaking them. Best bang for the buck for me!

Paul, Dan,
Since we're on the same page about a lot of things I seriously urge you to give Evidence Audio Lyric cables a try:
http://www.evidenceaudio.com/
After you've had EA cables you'll never go back to GL's, I swear it!

I guess their worth a try then
My main reason for GLs is the price and comfort of knowing I dont have to worry about them. Maybe other cables are clearer but I was never as strict about that because, hell, the least clear cables would probably be from the 60s after all.
Do you have a place online you order them from?

The Evidence Audio cables are great! I A/B the 2 cables and the Evidence Audio cables sounded better than the GL's. More transparent, more signal, and better noise reduction. The only thing is that the Evidence cost about $100 compare to GL's $26.
I also question the durability of the Evidence cables. Although they feel very heavy, flexibilty may be a problem. I would be very afraid to step on them on carpet.
For studio type work the Evidence cables may be best. For live stuff, I would use the GL's instead.
Evidence also carries $50 3' speaker cables. Now this may be going to far for me. I'll leave this stuff for the audiofile guys.
Just my 0.02
