i just saw the Eric Johnson Fuzz Face by dunlop and was wondering if any one tried it and possibly compiared it to the Jimi Hendrix and Joe Bonnamasa fuzz's. Which would be best for Hendrix tone?

Here is a demo of the Joe Bonamassa JBF3 Fuzzface.

http://www.doug-morrison.com/reviewsanddemos.html

The JBF3 Germanium fuzz sounds fat and dark.
The EJF1 Silicon fuzz sounds fat and bright.

My friends at Austin Vintage Guitars just showed me the
EJ fuzz and it looked real good, nice components and build.
I have been using the JBF3 for a while and really like it.
Both were put together by Jorge Tripps, so it is gonna
sound better than the standard Dunlop fuzzface.
Sorry no info on the Hendrix Fuzzface.

The Blue Hendrix Fuzz Face Rocks with a Strat a lot more bottom end than any other one I have tried, it totally Nails BOG Machine Gun with a good Vibe and a good Marshall Super Lead :jimi: And it is Silcon so it is cosistent, I also have a very good One Off Area 51 Germanium which I like for the older Hendrix sounds but it is more temperature sensitive

I have an 'older' 90's dunlop red FF with nkt's.
I changed the input cap to a .22 and the 470 to 1k
And 500k pot to 100k.
It tightened and brightened
Making it far more flexible but still definitely
Maintained its FF ness.
