xotic ep booster help!

Post by Tenderfoot » Mon Apr 30, 2012 10:47 pm

My ep booster just quit on me. It still lights up,has a bypass signal and all the connections seem to be ok,but when I engage the switch there's no sound. It's almost like it's an off/on switch, i.e. Bypass/off. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You could de-solder your switch connections and check out the switch with a multimeter which would be easy to do.

Question, Do you ride the switch on your Xotic EP Booster much? If not, did Xotic use a substandard part? It'd be nice to know for other owners and prospective buyers of this particular pedal. Thanks.

No, it's a great transparent boost. I put it in another enclosure and should have double checked my solder joints when it quit working after a while. Yeah, I know. :palm:
