if they were made in Sepulveda CA then they are propably the same internally, if made in Italy then they'll have different components and sound...some info

pancri,
If the Vox King and V846 are both made in Italy and from the same time period they most likely have the same trash can inductor, procond or Arco caps, ICAR pot etc. Got any pictures? look like this?

I have the exact Sepulveda V846 with the Red TDK 5103 Inductor, I also have a Thomas Organ, Chicago Crybaby with the Stack of Dimes Inductor they both sound good, but my Area 51 Slays both of them

The two that I have are the best I've found, but for sure there are several hardy ie. non-vintage wahs that I have used in the past (like the Dunlop JH-1 Hendrix wah from the 80s that I also liked alot) that work well on the road...
Here are mine:
Sepulveda Vox
Original Grey Vox (
Led Zeppelin I/"Pictures of Matchstick Men" Status Quo/"Apples and Oranges" Pink Floyd)
That said, I wish I could get my hands on a nice Italian Clyde McCoy like Hendrix used most often...

The Area 51 Wah kit is the same circuit as the Italian Vox Clyde McCoy

I have a early / mid 70's king wah (doesnt have the logo on the top like the one Jimi used). Has the square red TDK inductor.
