after owning a rocket octavia and a voodoo-axe for some time I just got a TC vibe, octavia, and axis . The two latter are as good, if not better than the rocket and voodoo series equivalents. I'll compare the vibe to the fulltone.

Have any of you tried the new TC series?

Got a link? I'm looking into Octavias at the moment, trying to decide on one for the board. I've owned a Foxrox Capt Coconut which had a tremendous Octavia clone, but that's gone now. Have a Foxrox Octron, but it's not really a true Octavia-style pedal.

I now have a Fulltone Octafuzz which is good, but in a Tycobrahe kind of way. Am probably going to try it side by side with a Dunlop Octavio, but I am really curious about the Roger Mayer as well. The downside has been the large/awkward shape of the rocket series, so if there's a new, more compact one then that's very interesting.

Just did a search. OMG, that is one ugly pedal. But interesting nonetheless, I'll probably pick one up to do a proper shootout between different Octavia clones. It's sort of frustrating that there at least two different Octavia types - the Roger Mayer type, which apparently sounds brighter and thinner, more ring-modulatey and perhaps closer to the Who Knows sound, and the Tycobrahe style which nails the Jeff Beck Wired tones. But which type for the One Rainy Wish sound? What do you think Roe?

the new TC octavia has a useful tone/eq switch that works well. it still sounds the best into a plexi that breaks up though. the new TC octavia is the most flexible octavia I've tried. I'm not sure about One Rainy Wish. I think both the dunlop and the Mayer TC should get you close.

BTW: Custom-sounds have good prices on the TCs
