CloudLifter CL-2 Preamp

I opened up my CL-2 and found a simple design. With room for tweaking I presume. Any thoughts on C3?

Just wondering why they left a big blank spot with a nice C3 label and white rectangle in a preamp box with 4 screws on it. It just begs to be tweaked...
