Surge Protector/ Power Conditioners

Most of us probably use a surge protector....... Right, I plug my amps into a Furman PL-Plus, Today off Flea Bay I purchased a Monster Power Pro 3500 for $ 225.00 including shipping. Does anyone use high grade filtering into their amps ? if so how much difference does using this type of filtering make in clairity and reduction in noise coming from the amp.
Any feedback would be helpful

Its probably a good idea. I play exclusively at home and have no power supply problems whatsoever, but for a working guy I'd have one, mainly for the voltage spikes or to regulate a higher voltage. I tried one at one time but the power draw of the amp screwed it all up, it was made for a computer or something.

I got the monster power conditioner last week, if anyone is interested it really does reduce the noise that the amp produces in an idle state .. Tone wise Its hard for me to tell if my amp sounds better plugged into the monster power conditioner
Overkill, probably but I feel better knowing I am protecting my amp from spikes and power surges, which we seem to get alot of in Southern CA in the hot summer when power consumption is at its highest when everyone is running the AC

Something that regulates voltage is very nice with tube amps.

Anyone have any recommendations for models others than the two mentioned so far?

I wouldnt mind getting a voltage regulator to keep constant voltage to my amps but have you guys seen the price ?

Somewhere in the past I've seen a voltage regulator schematic using a 6V6. That's all I can remember about it. With just a handful of parts it looked drop-dead simple to build. But I had no use for it so I lost track of it. If anyone cares, I'll go on a quest for it.
