Have any of you guys experienced this pedal?
Is it as versatile as it looks?
I'm running les paul and strat through vox wah , maxon 820(tube screamer)-cs 550(chorus) and boss tuner pedal into Metro plexi style 100w , I have some signal loss as you would expect.I am putting a true bypass switch in my wah and looking for a clean boost , I do like the functions on the TMB , but it expensive.
I was looking at that luxery drive on E'bay flames was talking about but missed it.
Any advice/ comments would be appreciated.

I have one from Legendary Tones, which I believe is the exact same pedal. I think the pedal is great (it's actually the only pedal I use except for an A/B box). The boosts are relatively quiet, althought any hum coming in from the guitar will be louder since it is being amplified by the pedal. Very low hissing noise though. I mostly use the clean boost to get more distortion from the amp, but the treble boosts work great for making a darker amp have some more clarity and brightness. Having three different modes of operation really does give a lot of versatiliy, but I've found for a particular guitar/amp combo that I prefer one over the others in terms of the tone I get.

I have one as well. Used it primarily with my Master volume 1981 JCM800 2203 head & Bogner Uberkab rig. I felt in the end that the pedal tends to give up the goods or gives up the ":high gain" if thats your type to the slightly distorted MASTER volume type amps more so than a very clean tone with the NMV superlead 4 inputers. My take. You really have to dime them like the later DOD250 yellow and YJM pedals to get "the goods" so to speak. Juast my 2 cent opn it. I still find up til now that the best tone with my Superlead OTHER than cranking the living SHi* out of it and going au natur'ale is the Hot British 12 ax7 pedal . Irun it with everything turned OFF opr set unity and taken out of circuit. Simply trhe gain and levels only. Gives up a beautiful tone with a NMV type amp . It is a high gain device but doesnt muddy your tone at all. VERY Tubey! Very British sonic. Very cool!
AS I wrote in another thread, I am looking into fuzzes, treble boosting and of course the Ultimate Attenuator for my next air strike :>)

Dont gert me wrong. The TMB is a GREAT PEDAL and will give up the tone . It also sdoesnt color your sound much and is very smooth. Keeley and Dave Szabadous who is a friend of mine made this pedal with the Master Volume Marshall in mind. Actually he told me his own 1981 JCM800 2203 was the one he was using when designing the pedal. But of course if you listen to the soundclips or in your case "LIVE and in your face" IT does work just fine with a Non Master type head as well. Just sying my pref. is for tube based esigns to push the NMVs over. Id like to try the Ultiamte Attenuator which is on its way soon to a theatre near me :>)Michael Patrick wrote:I like my TMB. For me it's the perfect pedal for pushing a NMV amp over the edge.
