This thing looks pretty cool. I have seen worse for $300 which is what this costs at Musicians Enemy. It is definatly not geared to the non modern player and the audio demos were weak. I would have also thought the Demonizer video would have shown the guy ripping it up a bit. You can't really make an honest evaluation when the guy only plays a few chords, and one decending scale run.

I actaully thought the Pure Metal sounded less fuzzy and more powerful.

I bought the demonizer when it first came out. I was very impressed with it as a drive pedal. Particularly, I was impressed with how well in converted a totally clean amp into an authentic sounding high gainer. Does that better than anything else I've tried before or since. As a boost / distortion, it was also very nice and detailed, and fairly flexible within the context of various shades of high gain. Reminded me most of a SLO100 type sound.

I didn't keep it because I was hoping to use it as a direct recording device and I didn't dig the tone as much for that. The v-stack still sounds better to me as a direct recording unit. As I hear it, anyway.

This thing sounds like shit. I'm not kidding. Not impressed at all. Keep on playing your Marshall's loud and proud boys!
