telefunken 12ax7?

I found a bunch of these Telefunken 12ax7s in some old pa gear. Are these ok for using in marshalls? Superleads or MV or both?

Excellent tubes. If you don't like their sound you can sell one and purchase three new production. Check the bottom of the glass between the pins. Authentic Teles will have a diamond shape in the glass.

I LOVE THESE TUBES IN MY MARSHALLS AND METROS!!!

They absolutely ROAR!!! Some guys claim they are too "hifi" for Marshalls but I really dig what they do for the sound, nice crisp sparkly highs and well balanced mids and lows, great overdrive sound too.

Nice score, Tele's ain't cheap in the slightest!!

Hello everyone!

Telefunkens are excellent preamp tubes.
ECC83 smooth plate or ribbed, both incredible....but;

They are the type of animal that players either LOVE or HATE.
Some claim tremendous dynamics as stated above, and some find the tube ~one dimentional sounding~

Try one out and see how you like it. I will tell you one thing though..
The second you install it and play, it makes it's tonal quality known immediatley, as it has great presence.
