I ordered some EH 6550 (Electro Harmonics) tubes, but one of them is a KT88. Physically they look the same, but are they really the same tube?
I wanted to be sure before I tried installing an EH 6550 with a EH KT 88.

No they are not the same tube. Did you buy them from tube Depot?
