I bought a tube tester and matched up 10 different 6CA7's. I had four Sylvania's, 4, EH and 4 RCA's. So in matching them all up, I found that one Sylvania matched up super close an EH brand and another EH with an RCA and so forth. So no I have 5 pairs of these things that are really well matched (not that I'm convinced that matched necessarily means better but) I've also noticed that the EH brands have all 8 pins while the Sylvania's and GE's only have 7. Can I assume that the EH's are in fact the same tube that I can use with the Sylvi's or GE's?
Oh, and are these biased for 70% at 30 watts or 25 watts? Never really got clarity on this.
