I'm in a litigious situation right know, I sold an electronic devise (not an amp) to a buyer, the guy wanted free shipping, etc. So we finally agreed on a deal, I had to pack the hell out of this heavy box (over 80lbs), in the process I didn't ask the buyer if he wanted an assured shipping but because the guy didn't want to pay for shipping in the first place I didn't think of it and send the box UPS but not assured, total cost was $149 bucks damn that was more then expected but a deal is a deal so I payed this and shipped the box to him. Well guess what, UPS drop the box or something and domage the unit, the buyer is pissed of course, so do I, he wants a full refund, makes a claim with Paypal. Now my Paypal is frozen in the minus 3 mumber digits. I can really use it unless I add funds in it. Wtf who is wrong here? Anyway we are trying to get money out of UPS, fuckin UPS again...

Why tell him? Well, isn't the idea to get your tubes or money back? If you tell someone you're resorting to calling the cops, it's very possible they'll do a quick 180 and respond to your requests. Those kind of things do get most peoples attention. LOL. If he does give you your money or tubes, great. Then call the cops and tell them about your case and everyone elses.

If he knows you called the cops, what's the worst that could happen? You have his name, address, etc. It's not like he's a wanted fugative for murder.

It's so predictable what he's going to say to the cops...he's going to give them his hard luck story about his sad life, tell them his family's been ill and he's behind on sending off tube orders. They might arrest him (probably not), or it may not be a cut and dry crime to them regarding the intent issue. A sloppy slow disorganized businessman isn't always a thief in the eyes of the law. I agree, he's a scammer, but it's going to take a lot of people coming forward to share their story so they can see the precedent he's made with so many people.

I bought from this guy a few times a long time ago...about 10 names ago. I at least got something. One of the times it was not as advertised and he told me to send it back. I never got around to it. I've read all the stuff on other boards like Audio Asylum. So I'm pretty up to speed on the guy.
