I like the JJ much better than the EH. The EH 6v6 just blew up repeatedly in my amps, and I mean that. 15 out of 16 were bad. I have no idea why one survived. Put in the JJ's, and not one issue. Go figure.

Agree!

Definitely JJ, they even survive in Fender Deluxe w/ 425V on the plates.
TungSol's survived in a Marshall Studio 15, but died in the Fender after 5 Minutes.
Moreover, the JJ does have the most punch & power.

I hate to say it, 'cause I hate their other tubes, but the answer is JJ.
They can handle much higher voltages than most other production (new and old) 6V6's as well.
Work nicely in my 2204 too (just drop the impedance selector by half)
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

Many consider the JJ 6V6 a disguised 6L6 since it can take such higher plate voltages.

JJ's sound nothing like 66GT's..more like a 6L6.

That leaves EH and Tung Sol as the best new 6V6GT's.

If you know were to look, you can find vintage 6V6GT's that test new that will sound better and last longer than any of the new stuff for around the same price.
