Hi guys, any of you come accross these 6ca7's before. I've been looking for some and I haven't heard of these, or where's the best place to score the GE items that George recommends,

I've read many times that the quality of these tubes is very poor. Crappy sound and won't handle high plate voltages. Rivalled in suckiness only by their skinny bottle version.

But who knows? You might dig them. I'd try them if the price were right.

I have a duet I got a couple of years ago or so. They sound okay, but nothing noteworthy. Save your $$$ for the known good stuff: Sylvania 6CA7's or Mullards. Lately,I'm really sold on the NOS stuff. The difference is worth it!
