Does anyone Mess with Tube Testers

I bought a EMC301 tester,it was all screwed up I got it working ,but I do not know what the Selector dial does.It goes from 0-50.I thought I would start here first

I believe that is the Heater dial. Ex; Put the heater dial on 12 for 12ax7,12at7,12au7 etc....
