Hi axeman,

an interesting tube!

But: with $ 39,99 per tube, they seem a bit overpriced to me.
Or is this the price for a Duet?

Regards

Robert

I'll have to get some to compare with my Sylvania's. Hope they're decent.

From my short use, maybe 12 hours. It produced a thick mid range that I actually really like  , the bass was also thick more like a 6L6 and the bright was the same as my Wing "C" EL34 tubes. I used my Marshall 68 plexi and a power brake and was able to dial up some nice tone. Again they are a little thicker than a EL34 type tube, almost like the Tung-Sol EL34B, but nicer sounding  . I hope that made any sense.

Thanks for the review on these tubes AXEMAN, I am definately very interested in trying them myself. Hopefully they will handle a little more abuse than EL34's.

Yep I hope it's not just a repackaged el34 B I don't trust the sales pitch I've always been leary of the terms "just like" or as good as you get the drift! :?

Some have said these are not True Beam Tetrodes like the original 6CA7. There is nothing on Eurotubes site saying that they are sooooooooo? The plates are bigger mounted in their 6L6 glass envelope.

Would it be too hard to make the tube a true beam Tetrode if you went to the trouble of making a 6ca7?

I know JJ El34 are pretty tough so this may be a cool tube even if it is a Power Pentode still?

I know the Elite vacum tube site claims they are a Beam Tetrode? Who is correct?
