the scores are still out there - part 110
managed to get my hands on 3 NOS xf2, a NOS metalbase xf1, plus that the seller thought that he should give me a bonus - a mullard GZ34. The whole package cost 200usd...

I hear ya. You just have to be patient and keep your eyes peeled.
For $25 bucks I just picked up 4 NOS U.S. 12AU7s.....
and a 1958 longplate Amperex ECC83 with D/foil strip getter, labeled for Rogers Canada. Thank goodness for rebranding! I noticed the seams and the long plates - worst case scenario, it would have been a Japanese tube. It turned out to be a Dutchie, though.
