Tube score!

Me and a buddy just went to a guy that's liquidating all his vintage stereo stuff. We got 8 Mullards and 8 GE and Sylvania 12AX7s. We did a quicky test on the tube tester and they all measured over 100 so I think they're okay. A lot of the Mullards are the shielded variety while the others are Sherwood by Mullard. We got the whole lot for $100. I also picked up a really cool vintage radio consel for $25 and I peeked in the back and saw a couple more mullards.

Also got a Tung Sol 12ax7. How are those?

I'll take the back off of the radio tonight but I definitely saw at least one Mullard in there.
I feel like a kid at halloween with his candy spread out on the table. I'll post some pics tonight. I can finally say I have a story about raiding some guys stash of old tubes.
