Mullard RI Blows the Roof Off

So I've had a Russian Mule in the PI of my Orange TT for a few months.the other night at rehearsal I flip my amp on and it was dead no sound.After fiddling w cords etc... I pulled the top off to see if tubes were lit,then upon taking the tubes out for a look,the top of the PI tube fell off in my hand.Clean break like someone cut around the flashing w/ a glass cutter.
Guess I shoulda known better than to stray from NOS glass.
