The box is Mullard but I don't really trust that.

It says ECG on the tube so it could be made by Phillips a long time ago they once were big on making tubes.

That's definitely a RFT ECC83, made in the former GDR (East Germany).

Not a bad tube, low microphonics, huge gain, thick and ballsy tone, but a lack in the highs - although, far away from a real Mullard.

cool - I paid £5 for each, they sound like the perfect combination to even out the tone with the Sylvania's I got.
