...just got one of these from tubetramp(great guy to deal with for tubes by the way) and put in my gibson ga-5(the new ones). All I can say is WOW! Sounds like a totally new amp. It has more headroom than the jj that was there and it sounds a lot smoother. The jj had a harsh high end that the could never get rid of whenever the amp was getting pushed. Anyone who's running an amp with el84's should check these tubes out, they sound great and are a lot cheaper than other nos tubes.
