Telefunken vs Mullard EL34's ?

I've noticed that NOS Telefunken EL34's seem to sell for a fortune even compared to most NOS Mullards EL34's.
For those of you who own 'em or have tried them, do the Telefunkens sound different than Mullard's? Are they worth the extra $$$ ?
Your advice is much appreciated...

All I can tell you is that the Teles are biiiig in the audiophile world. I've heard they sound as good as Mullards in guitar amps, but very few guitarists are willing to pay what the audiophiles are, so they don't seem to find their way into guitar amps all that often.
