I just picked up a 1960B cab loaded with blackback 75's...the cab has smaller white piping on top, plastic corners, and modern looking black grill cloth. I assume the piping is on the bottom too, but don't have the cab in front of me.
Anybody have a ballpark guess of the year. I have heard the extra white piping was only 1976. I will post some pics when I have a little time. When did they stop using the smaller piping, and when did they offer black grill cloth?

OK..Google has been my friend a bit on this..1976 cabs did have the piping, and black grill cloth was used on some too.

Yes, in the UK I have seen '76 with small check, elephant hide, plastic corners, but late '76 also black cloth and no piping.

Ive seen the white piping stock on UK cabs. 76 is about right I think. They only seem to have dabbled with it for a short time. I once had a PA head with the white piping on it too.

I've got one 1960B with white stripes and plastic corners. Speakers are 1976 blackbacks. Grill is also black. Rare...
Gold piping looks better though I think.
