Small box thickness

Post by keithshapiro » Tue Oct 02, 2012 4:18 pm

I've built several different head cabs however I've never built a small box plexi box. The plans I was given show 1/2 inch but not the type. I'm sure Baltic Birch will be fine and I have tones of 1/2 out in the shop. I'd love to not have to go buy another 5'x5' piece of 3/4 if I can get away with it.

Were the small box plexi's made with 1/2 inch?

Thanks
Keith

Vintage 4x12s are 5/8" so I doubt they built any headcabs out of 3/4". Use the 1/2" you'll only have nominal differences with the bevel on the edges.
So you think your Mesa-Boogie is cool? You won't even be able to hear it over my Marshall Superlead
