Here are some gut shots from my ex-1960AHW cab. Noticeable is the absence of the grooved rubber cap on the center brace that George's replica does contain.
My A cab had only two of one of the caster mounting hardware drilled at all and was missing the screws for these.
The top cab nearly toppled off the full stack is how I found out. Also one dust cover fell off inside the cab.

I tried adding that extra brace to an original prototype and compared to a cab without. This was before production True Replica cabs were made. Very early on.

Sorry for any confusion.

Please note that I am working with a new cab shop and hope to build these cabs closer to my own place here in Michigan. Things look really good so far, but we are probably 6-8 weeks away from the first production cabs rolling out.

That's good news George. I might need a couple more but I'll talk to you offline about that.

The cab I got from you back in 2010 is still kicking HA HA :jimi:

Do you have any plans to make strap handle cabs? like the Hendrix/Clapton tall pinstripe stacks?

I know they are not very practical but they are my favourite of the old Marshall cabs, and sound awesome.

I would love to make tall cabs. But I don't have exact enough documentation. Someday, when I am able to fully document one I'll make a replica.
I have made a few tall straight cabs, based on dimensions from the internet. But they aren't up to True Replica authenticity.

I still have a tall bottom with Eric Collins pinstripe, if anyone is interested.

If you need a top handle "A" cab to measure, I've still got one here, just 150 miles, (and one border) from you...

I really do! Pretty tempting.

To really document these cabs you have to remove the hardware and pull the baffle out. Not a small task or something that can be done in a day. It takes a while to fully reverse engineer them and recreate in 3D CAD.

Actually, pulling the baffle out on a top handle is no big deal. It's one of the (few) advantages of a top handle, no side handles or caster cups to remove to get the baffle out, just remove the screws, and out it comes.

My cab is currently stripped to bare wood, with the baffle out, waiting for me to find some correct tolex that won't break the bank to get shipped here, and a deal of some kind on some EC BBGC.

If you wanted to come grab it for a few months or whatever, it's fine with me.

Very interesting. Maybe I could help with the grill cloth. In trade for some time to document the cab.

I couldn't do anything until after the first of the year though, I'm fully wrapped up in getting the Metro-Plex in production and shipping.

No problem.

Just let me know when you want it.

As long as I haven't had the big one in the meantime, you're welcome to it.

aargh. i wish i had known. i just sold two tall cabs. a strap handle from 67 and a metal handle from 1970. the 67 had been sitting in my garage for years waiting to be restored and was sold as a stripped down project so would have been perfect for you.

Doh! Sorry I missed out on those. The stripped '67 would have been ideal, no doubt. The '68 straight I used for the True Replica blueprint was stripped and that worked perfectly. That cab sounded so great that I never had it recovered.

We'll get there, nice to have options coming out.
