Wait a minute.....this one isn't painted:

They stopped painting baffles in the 70's? Why am I obsessing over this?

Perhaps some where painted to hide knots in the wood or something along that line.

Obsession is what creates quality George. You already knew that.

Too true Jim.

It makes most sense to just paint them all. But I still want to know the trend in case someone calls me out on it. :P

Buddy, you make a decision, and tell them what they can get. WTF, Metropolis becomes Burger King for cabs? You already do that for amps. The paint ain't going to change the tone! LOL (Of course somebody will ask, you know that right?)

If you leave it up to each individual client on that, you'll kill yourself keeping it all straight. Then there will be the "Hey, George! I changed my mind...paint (or unpaint) it!" This will always happen after the order is placed and the cloth is on, necessitating extra labor/charges/delays/frustration.

My advice is to paint them all. If they want it unpainted, have them sign/agree to "NO CHANGES" unless they're willing to pay for it.

Otherwise I think you'll find out how bad a decision this was...the hard way!

Perhaps the paint had something to do with what color grill cloth was put on the front?

Hell yes! How about a lava lamp, or black light lit Hendrix poster while we're at it?

Frankly I think you're all nuts... if you're going to have anything, it's Raquel Welch in that fur bikini from 10,000 BC... that's what I'm going to start working on... damnit...I've got to run a Google search, and call my T-shirt guy to print this up...

Ha ha! Now you guys are talking!

From now on we'll put a hidden masterpiece painting on the baffle, so everyone will have to cut off their grill cloth to reveal it! Brilliant!

So for the 60's cabs do we have Brigit Bardot and Farrah Fawcett for 80s, Pamela Anderson for 90's cabs, any other suggestions

I would give them all a light blow over with matt black paint, you need it for the basketweaves understage lights anyway and I presume these are made to be played out
