Marshall "Fawn" Cab.

Here is a cab I just picked up. Not bad shape. No wheels. Needs a new jack/plate. Has 4 Blackbacks (1777). Not sure about the date. I'll have to get a look at the dates on the BB's. Has Marshall written on the handles and on all 4 of the top wheel wells.
Very cool color. Are these rare?

Fawn is certainly one of the rarer custom colours. Doesn't seem to do anything for the value though, unless you're lucky enough to find the right seller.

Looks really good, great find! I love the look of a wall of miss matched Marshall 4x12's, fawn is one of those colors that brakes things up nicely.

Can't seem to get enough black backs, I just discovered how damn good they sound with my old marshall 50W.

I'll tell ya what's cool for me about the "Fawn" color is that it almost looks similar to an unfinished cabinet like Ed's, especially from a distance. Is it tolex or is it a tweed type covering?

It's tolex. It's pretty dirty. I cleaned a small patch on the back and it's a lot lighter than it appears. The grill cloth is almost a brownish color. I have it split with my other 4/12 in opposit corners of my living room. What a badass sound!

Most the fawn cabs Ive seen have come with black basketweave grills, like salt and pepepr but black in colour. not the standard small mesh black grill.

It's more of a brown color. Maybe not original cloth. I dont know.

Mad props on the B & W strat! Have you posted pics of it in a thread that I missed...can we see more of it? Maybe do a thread on it?

Bet your neighbours about 1/2mile away love you! Two B cabs blasting in one direction

.
I stopped using my basketweave B cab with G12Hs for gigs - sounded great but could be heard literally 1/2 mile away in a straight line through walls, even with Hotplate on -8db etc.
Now use an A cab with x3 beam blockers, an attenuator and mic on the unblocked speaker. The blockers give nice spread of stage sound.

Looks fendery, tweed vibe. Fits under a plexi just nice though. Gz and what a great rig!
Now crank that full stack.

It would be killer if you could do some comparison clips with those attenuators mate, two of the best around, just a basic YRGM short 'n sweet

these two never went in a head to head in Jim S's attenuator shoot out and with the Friedman ready to launch soon this would be most excellent.
Oh, and your webber load
For me attenuators play a massive part in my chain, I really struggle to believe how anyone can stand in front of a dimed 100 watter at home or a small gig, so I wish attenuation/load could be discussed much more

Actually, I'm just waiting on a few more parts for a DIY attenuator I'm building. I'll do a shootout with a "few" attenuators I have. Should be fun.
I was hoping to find the old clip Rockstah did for George that was line level. It was in a thread and got deleted or is missing. Would be great to have the same line level track for each clip. I have a digital decibel meter as well so I could really dial things in.
BTW the blacks I got from you are in that bottom cab!
