Hey guys!

I often play with ear plugs or stay at lower volumes but today I accidentally noticed a strange noise when playing. It's a buzz coming out when I play low notes at higher volumes. It's like a buzz from the strings except it's not. Do you think it's cab related or it may be something in the amp? Unfortunately I don't have another cab to compare.

Two questions...
1) Are the speakers new or used, and were they just put in and wired?
2) Does the cabinet have plastic handles that could have come loose?

The speakers have been there for some time. I got them new half a year ago. And yes, the cab has plastic handles. But I checked them yesterday. I think they don't cause the buzz.

My guess is you'll need a 2nd cab to double check this with and help from a friend who plays guitar. That will involve individual speaker testing, and having you or the friend listening to the speakers/handles while you recreate the tone/volume where you hear the buzz.

A lot of guys I know use caulk/silicone on their handles and cabinet backs(prolly makes it a b1tch to get apart later) to stop rattles.
I kow some PA guys will coat there cabs in rhinoliner inside and out to stop rattling baffles and stuff like that.
