Marshall cab spec list
Isn't there a list on Marshall cabs and what speakers (or grillcloth ?) came in each model.
I thought I saw something earlier this year... I just can't find it

marstran?
http://www.marstran.com/cabdata/cabdata.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
seems to be a fair bit of "human error" in there, so dont take the data as gospel.
white 6" logos for example on a 4x12. dont think so, unless not original.

Re: Marshall cab spec list
Yes, that's it ! Thank You BaronGB. I appreciate that !
(*F.Y.I. note to self) I was wondering why I'm not seeing the 6402 cone anywhere...?

Re: Marshall cab spec list
O.K. Kool
Does anybody know what model/spec cab shipped with 6402 cones ?
Grill cloth ? Metal or plastic handles ? Factory wheels ? Or not?
Also, would there be a model number for the S&P grill cloth cab's ? Years?

I think any of the reissue cabs. AX, handwired series, TV (tall vintage) cab etc. So long as they were built in the late 80's or early 90's they should be loaded with 6402 greenbacks.

I took the page over from Marc many years ago and it has just been sitting there, I need to give it some new life.

Re: Marshall cab spec list
Jimi, I've had a couple of sets of 6402's but I've always had the owner take a pic of the cone stamp to be sure. Here in the uk a lot of cabs have a barcode in with marshalls address and model plate and that actually has the date in the code numbers, don't think you guys have that?JimiJames wrote:O.K. Kool

As stated, the AX and TV cabs are where you'll find them although the production window for 6402's is from '95 to the latest I've ever seen of 2004 but it's still best to visually check especially if the speaker is a 2000 onwards build. I don't think the S&P cabs and hand wire series cabs have them as they came later.

Re: Marshall cab spec list
ahh O.K. Thanks, Brother.
There are just a couple more combinations of speaker/cab match ups I'm experimenting with.
This next project is to ascertaining a S&P bottom and to load it with a Quad of 6402's.
I like what I hear and just need to tame the high's with S&P grilcloth.
Basketweave could be too much and shave off too much. Just a theory I'm working on for my current live rig ('69 spec/BlackBack's)...
I have an empty late '70's Large Check I could re-grill, but i think just better off selling outright for a couple of hundred.(it's a gigging cab)
