a couple creambacks waiting to be reinstalled and put back into regular rotation on the local circuit. One had few incidents and was capably repaired i must say. Used titebond and brown paper bag of the thin variety

spent some more time comparing these two 'worn out' and repaired old celestions with my other identical cones that are in near new looking condition. Non facts are all over the internet and the idea of worn out speakers is one of them. The two thrashed celestions sound near identical and i'd say sweeter and more creamy than the others. This is not news to me, just more verification that hammered speakers are the best for that old tone. Just don't give them modern amounts of bass because even a brand new greenback is not built for modern tones
