hello all, anybody try these celestion V type speaker? what are they exactly? big or small dust cap? how would they sound with a 1987 50 watt plexi?

I ask because im in the market for some new speakers for my 1987 plexi, I find the g12-80's (all i have for the amp at the moment) too bright sounding with no compression going on. I need to find the perfect speaker for this amp. im not sure i want greenback type speakers, looking for more of a full range type speaker. im looking to do a split cab kind of thing, so 2x12 for the 1987, and then the other half of cab (2x12) will be for a jtm45. so any recommendations are welcome. I am on a budget though.

small dust cap. speakers sound good. Usually, its described as a cross between a g12m greenback and a vintage 30. It sounds much better than the v30 though

cool, I think I will get a couple of them then and eventually pair them with some creambacks. that should be a good combo.
