JTM45 Not Loud

Just wanted to report back and say that it was in fact the capacitor not being grounded correctly on the Presence pot. Are correct, I should really read the manual for my multimeter

408v DC on pin 3 of both power tubes

It's really hard to explain. The solder joint looked perfect (nice and shiny and flowed really nice. But when you pulled on the lead it slide through the ground lug (cold joint). Talk about a bitch to find. But now she screams!

ahhh man. that's my favorite. when the tuner falls off the top of the amp...

this year at amp show, the gold cover from a marshall made knob on one of George's 45/100's fell off. he put it back on a few times, but it kept falling off from the enormous volume. it was awesome

I want to build a 100w head. (I'm just a hobbyist, no band and no gigs) I only have a 2x12 cab w/ Greenbacks so I'm looking at picking up another 2x12 and making a cracked stack or swapping the Greenbacks for a pair of Scumbacks that can handle the power.
