Yep, the title says it all and as the time draws on I feel even more certain I may have bungled up big time.
In my quest for more headroom, I had the bright idea to try solid state rectification for more B+ voltage. I came across some info on how to DIY your own solid state rectifier plug - from a dude that builds amps - and decided to try it out.
To cut a long story short, the .5 amp fuse on the chassis blew upon flipping the standby switch after i fitted this DIY plug. I reverted back to the tube rectifier - bang went the fuse again.

OK, please help me shed some light on this. I have put a link to the page with the instructions on the plug. scroll down and you will come across them.
After re-reading the post, I see the plug is for reissue JTM45's so I think I have stuffed something up in my amp!
