Sure thing, Kimbo. I basically just did what George said to do. Here are the steps I followed:

- Jumper the channels
- Do one of the following:
1. Attach the speaker output to a dummy load
2. Remove the output tubes if you don't have a load box or you don't want to break them in (if they are vintage, for example)
- Turn all controls to 10
- Play songs on an infinite loop, and feed that into the amp at instrument levels for several hours

I used iTunes to loop over part of my library (now I can say that SRV actually broke in my amp for me!). Just remember that if you do it without the output tubes, you will lose some of the benefit of the process, because the transformers, presence cap, etc. won't see any action.

I'm a new member, but have been lurking for awhile.

This JTM 45 kit seems to be the perfect solution for someone like me, who wants to build a high quality PTP Marshall type amp.

Thanks again for this post... It's got me thinking.

I just started my first build, a JTM50 using Metroamp parts, last night and threads like this are a tremendous help. The only problems so far have been that the large bolts didn't fit the holes to mount the OT and the gromet for the choke is a huge pain-in-the-ass. I couldn't even get through step 1 without putting that first "ceremonial" scratch in the chassis.

Glad it helps you out, Craig! I was also helped by this kind of thread, so please post your experiences as well. Especially any lessons you learned. We'll all learn something from it, for sure.
