Voltages look okay if you measured without tubes installed. Some of the rectifier (V6) voltages are off though. It doesn't look like it's wired correctly in your pics but you probably changed it after the picture.

Still no volume?

Success!!!
Goddamn!! what a hell of a tone!! woo hooo! :jimi:
your right I found another wiring mistake...
I would describe it but I don't know how properly..
still can't set the bias though, it measures 31.8 mv at pin 8 v4&5 respectively..and doesn't move when you turn the adjustment
dose it matter if it's on a 8 or 16 ohm to set it?
I only have 8 and 4 ohm cabs here.

Doesn't matter.

Are you measuring mV across the 1 ohm resistors to set bias? Does the bias pot vary the negative voltage on pin 5 of the power tubes? If not, something is not wired correctly in the bias section. Make sure it is grounded properly with the correct jumpers under the board.

Damn I wired that wrong as well  got the bias set at 42.8 on both! :champ:

I guess I should'a listened when they say go to bed and do more the next day

too late too crank it up now.. :rocker:

No problem. We've all been there. I just share what little I know when I can. Enjoy your amp. 8)

This amp is nothing but the truth!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :jimi:

master volume.?????....thats just crazy!!!
even on 4 it has killer sustain and plenty of crunch..on 6 it all Monterey --- no buttons to push
just add tube screamer and wah...and.. :hairband:

just 2 criticisms of metro amp....
1; have someone dress those chassis'...I spent the first hr of the build bleeding everywhere, there are some sharp edges...
2: tell some one to buy a new drill bit once in a while and you wouldn't have to file chassis openings..drill bit sides actually ware faster on aluminum.

other than that
thanks for a killer head!

Now I want to sell it and build another!!!
or maybe keep it and build a 100 watt and sell that cause I surely don't need any
more volume
