Thanks...i originally had the 500pf cap that was spec'd in the directions, but changed it up and settled on 100Pf

I was interested because I did the same thing. The 100pf seems to work best if you use a basic clean to semi-clean tone and get your overdrive sound through pedals, which is what I do to keep the volume in check. However, If I was going for natural amp overdrive the 500pf is the ticket.

I use a ceramic 100pf on both my JTM45 and my '67 spec shared cathode JMP50. I like the way a ceramic cap sound sounds, the silver micas seem a little harsh to me.

It's a nice build for sure!

The 500pf was was too bright for me even at higher volumes. I think its partly because my les paul has the 498t pup in it which is a bit hot. I just like the 100pf better all around at any volume. And if im playing it wide open(which i think we would all prefer) it doesn't really matter. I may try a 250pf in the future just because.
I havent had a chance to try the amp out in a band situation yet since im still waiting for my cabinet. I already have my scumback speakers....i picked up the BM75 blackbacks and have them in a 2x12 cab for now. I really like them! I also have some celestion g12c that are finally breaking in....they are quite a bit darker than the bm75. Im gonna post a few clips once i get my cab. It should be here soon. In the mean time ill keep playing around with the preamp tubes but im pretty happy with it right now. I have jan phillips 12ax7 in v1/ tungsol v2 /tungsol v3/ and gold lion kt66's

I'm running my JTM through a 2x12 cab with a pair of Celestion Silver Alnicos and it sounds great. It also sounds great through my 4x12 cab w/ Weber G12M copies.

Yes indeed! Swanson also does excellent work as always. Nice touch with that grille cloth. Are you going to put a block logo on it?

The grill cloth was actually a mistake but i liked it and kept it. I was suppose to have re-issue bluesbreaker cloth but got reissue offset cloth.

If anything ill put a Metroamp logo on it. I need to email Dusty at metro again to see if there any left.

Looks awesome!
Just what I'm aiming for.

I have a JTM45 chassis ready to install. Built on a C-tone chassis w Marstran iron and Sozo caps.

Two q's

You think the Scumbacks are a good combination w the jtm45? I see you went for the more aggressive Blackbacks vs the Greenies.

I still need a cab. Since I'm in Europe I will have it made here. Do any of you have the correct dimensions for the BB cab? I'm using KT66, maybe they need some more space.

I have a 2nd hand one you can have with speakers, some light dings in the levant only.

It is one of these:http://www.tubeampdoctor.com/en/shop_AM ... _Combo_862

Pair of golds?

pair of blackbacks?

pair of greenback Celestion T1886 with black/gold logos

one heritage G12H and one Gold combo works well too.

I am in the UK if seriously interested I will take pics for you.
