You can see how to use one here (scroll down the page a bit):
How to use a lead bender tool
I know you can find them at
Hoffman amps and
turretboards.com. I haven't used one but if you're not wrapping components around lugs first, just putting them in the top hole, it could be useful. Otherwise, needlenose pliers will get ya where ya need to go.

Yup, and he'll also have to flip a couple of those resistors around next to the replaced caps so the shorter end of the leads are towards the edge of the boards. Otherwise the bigger Sozo's won't fit. Again, no biggie.
Lead benders are sold by Hoffman.

Awwww #&^$!#%!
You're right. Those are 0.01uf instead of 0.1uf. Damn! I ordered them as a "JTM45 set" from John at Sozo and didn't double check the values.
<RANT>
I hate capacitance codes. 103? 104? Just give me the value in microfarads! It's not like the cap bodies are too small. If they can print "250 pf +/- 10%" on a teeny silver mica cap, they can print "0.01uf" on a Sozo.

Looks like a little re-work is in order. Ah well... it's not the end of the world. Just a little aggravating... and embarassing. Thanks to all you sharp eyed guys for catching that. Way better to fix it now than later! I can just see myself firing up the amp and saying "Why does this thing sound like shite?"

I'm right there with ya man. If nobody posts anything every 15 minutes I start getting antsy.
I'm off to the Electronics Warehouse in Riverside for a new soldering station today

. It's one of those very dangerous places where when you walk in your first thought is "I need ALL this stuff".
Never settle for an amp thats smaller then you are.

Its funny. I was a member for a while before I posted regularly but that was because I worked all day outside and played pretty often. As the work changed and the gigging slowed down I can check here pretty much whenever Im not really busy any time of day. At least Im not one of these crazy myspace adicts. I dont chat. This is basically all the PC socializing I do
This happens all the time, and I think Flames can agree with me here since were pretty close in posts, some new member will join up nd say he's read my posts for months and its kinda strange. I post thinking Im mostly talking to memebers or the regulars. But when I think theres hundreds of lurkers around here it freaks me out. Its even wierded that some guy actualy cares what my dumb ass has to say. I just post a lot.

Actually the change might not be enough for you to really know somethings wrong but it might be enough to make you think the amp isnt so great.

Hoffman Amps has some great service!
I swear to God I ordered online and in less than 2 minutes I had two e-mails from Doug.
1 confirming my order...
2 confirming it had shipped...
That's the kind of service I look for when I'm getting stuff that's for a hobby. I don't want any stress in a hobby.

I already have Ken (turretboards.com) staking my 36 watt turretboard so I'm hoping to pick up a couple benders there if he hasn't shipped it out, yet...see if I can save on separate shipping. Otherwise, Hoffman is .50 cheaper!!

The guy provides amazingly quick service. I've order several times from him and it's like before you know it your pieces/parts are on your door step.
