JTM 45 Kit sound clips

This first clip is kinda mellow. Two tracks panned somewhat left and right and a touch of reverb added in the mix. No EQ'ing at all. But the left track could have used a low cut.

The settings are high treble channel on "10". Mids on 10, treble on 8, bass on 2 and presence on 4.

The guitar is my same Les Paul I use for all of the clips. The left panned track is the neck pickup with the volume rolled back. The right track is the neck on 10 at first then the bridge on 10. You'll hear when it changes.

Clip 2, Lagrange. Doubled rhythm parts panned hard left and right. Lead part straight up the middle. Same settings as first clip with reverb added in the mix. No Eq'ing.

What speakers/cabinet are you playing through?

It's a 1970 slant with original G12H's that were reconed in the late 70's.

The chain is:

guitar- amp- cab- SM57- Mackie 1202- RME Multiface- Logic Audio.

Then I edit and save as .mp3 in Cool Edit.

This one might be cheating a little. I played two tracks over a zeppelin clip from the how the west was one promo.

Tracks panned hard left and right. Volume, mid and treble dimed. Bass 4, presence 8.

Wow, that's the Grail sound of Rock'n'Roll. Really nice, esp. with little to no tweakage as you indicate, just the way it should be done.

Death to compressed preamp modern tone!
