Finally! (completed 1st build)

Finally got around to completing the Metro JTM45 kit bought back almost 2 years ago (gasp)! Had to take a long break from it due to some unforeseen circumstances, but t'was sure worth the time and effort to get it completed. No break in time needed, it blew me away right off the assembly line! I'm really impressed with the sound, stock Chinese/ Russian tubes included. More to experiment with now, yes?!

I used the Marstran PT and OT set, upgraded pots and knobs and Sozo caps, loop kit and a fancy replica logo from wkcrompton of Australia (thanks man!). Plate voltage reads 435vdc, biased KT66 tubes @ 37mA. Put it on a 16ohm 4x12 cab and WOW!

The build went pretty smooth, except had some problems getting a clear idea of whether the red or the black wire from the Marstran OT goes to V4 or V5. There are some mixed forum results posted here, but finally found the post with definitive direction from Brian. Also, the kit rear face plate did not match up well with the fuse holder and impedance switch holes. Had to shift slightly and compensate with a Drimel tool (still alittle gap on each).
All components were good and kit instructions very understandable. Thanks George! Keep up the good work.
