Continuity between heaters wire?!?

Post by noland0 » Thu Dec 16, 2010 9:26 pm

Hey guys, me again

Was doing some fiddling around, checking things and what not, and whilst checking continuity with my multimeter
I got a beep for the start of the red wires on the heaters wires and the end
BUT also got a beep for when i tested the start of the red wire and the end of the black wiring?!

Is this normal?

Thanks

I believe you will see continuity between the heater pins. You will also read continuity to ground on your heater pins if your center tap is grounded. This is normal.

But, better double check with someone else as I could be wrong.

It's normal if the filament string is connected the transformer.
