Stupid question regarding headshell...

Will the JTM45 kit (loaded with 6l6) fit in a 20 watt head shell if you have a different chassis cut out?
Is that why Mojo offers that bigger cut out? Sure would be nice to get my amp into a smaller shell.
Thoughts?
