man, this is one of those issues that is just plain drivin me insane......

i''m getting a constant "static" sound. maybe after the amp is on for a minute or two. sometimes it comes and goes randomly.

not the instrument cable/guitar. not tubes. voltages check out ok.
i've been tapping around connections for days...nothing seems loose.

any ideas???

Try another outlet which is on a different circuit breaker.
Incandescent/Fluorescent in the room? GreenField, RoMex, conduit, BX?
If you have little green men use a tin foil hat...and don't stand in front of a mirror.

ill try another outlet... but looks like a FT filter cap is toast. (mains/PI) no reading at all on my cap meter.
