JTM45 in 1x12 Combo Help

Hi,
Brand new here...I want to rehouse my JTM45 clone as a 1x12 combo (ceriatone chassis currently in a mojotone head) like Joe Popp did in this thread:

I'm thinking of going 20"H x 21"W x 11"D so I can still use KT66's in it.
Joe Popp, if you see this (for some reason my post on that 3 year old thread did not work and I'm not allowed to send messages on this forum), do you still have your JTM45 in this configuration.
I was advised to think twice about doing something like this on another forum, because of the tubes proximity to the speaker due to the mounting of the chassis horizontally to the panel, and the decreased tube life from vibration. He also said it was awkward to handle...
Anyway, I wonder if anyone would care to share their experiences. Thanks
