330uf to 25uf

Just changed the 330uf to 25uf and now have a noise when I turn the presence pot above 8. Was not there before. Sounds like tuning in an old radio. Not there when guitar not plugged in. When in the guitars volume and tone effects the noise. Is this normal for this mod? Thanks.

You may want to reflow the solder joints on the components that you changed. Do you have the cap orientated correctly with the negative side to ground? Also make sure that the grid wires (normally the green ones) on the v1 socket are placed correctly. These are very sensitive to placement and if not routed correctly you can introduce noise into the circuit.

Looks like I moved some of the green wires by the input jacks when installing the 25uf. Much better now. Thanks
