Hi all!
I'm in the process of building a JTM45 kit from Valvestorm and so far I'm loving the process (Burnt fingers and all). I just have a question regarding the wiring of the Input jacks with the bottom right input jack (Normal channel 2) removed for the PPIMV pot. I'd put the PPIMV in the back of the chassis but it'll be in a combo, so reaching the PPIMV would be a mission and a half. So, what do you all think would be the best way to wire the input jacks? Thanks a bunch!
-Erik

In general it is advised to keep the PPIMV pot away from the input jacks, people do it and get away with it but......
Better putting it in the presence spot and moving the presence pot to the back as you typically (or at least I do) set it for the room and leave it.

You can use a chicken head knob and will be able
to feel where it is set, if you put it in the back.

Okay, this is probably what I'll end up doing. How would I then wire the speaker jack if I'm only using one of them?

Wire the output jack exactly as your layout shows. Just leave off the jumper wires that span from the first jack to the second. If you would like to keep both, you can drill a small hole beside the jacks to mount the ppimv.

What about the ground that was on the speaker jack? Does that need to go on the first speaker jack or can that be done away with?danman wrote:Wire the output jack exactly as your layout shows. Gotta ground the jack, even if just one
