Bias question

To bias a JTM45 reissue, does it require installation of a bias pot?
There should be one on the board. A small black arched plastic block with a white centre with a slot for small screwdriver.
Are you going to use a biasing tool in the sockets or the 1ohm resistor replacing the short buss between pin 8 and earth (1MILLIVOLT=1Ma across this resistor)?
