I stayed up till 3 in the morning last night building the board an installing it in my jtm 45 reissue. I just fired it up this evening and everything works awesome! I figured I would require someone elses assistance, but it worked great. I'm going back out in a little bit to throw some used genalex kt-66's in there and see if they work, they wouldn't work in the stock reissue, but I've got the heyboer output and mercury magnetics choke in there now, so I've got my fingers crossed. The genalex's work great in my 76 lead bass which normally uses 6550's. I'll let you know how it goes, and the amp already sounds fatter than before. Thanks again, Phil

I just came back in, I may have blown my weber 1230-55 I'll try it again tomorrow. I plugged into my other bassman cab with 2 altec 12's and, man it was hard to stop playing. That amp is amazing! I couldn't stop to put in the other tubes, I finally swapped the chinese tubes for the genalex's and didn't even bias them. It is the sound I've been looking for, they have a clean edge to them that just makes you want to bash power chords, WOW! I don't know why the genalex tubes wouldn't work before, but they work great now.
